OKLAHOMA CITY—While Oklahoma is focused on not overlooking UConn in the upcoming Fiesta Bowl, deep down, the Sooners can’t help but be hopeful and excited about the chance at a BCS bowl game victory.
“We would definitely like to get a BCS win; speaking on behalf of the whole team, especially the seniors, the guys who have been here for a while,” said senordefensive backJonathan Nelson. “Hopefully we can come up with a win against Connecticut.”
The Sooners know they cannot take UConn lightly. Quarterback Landry Jones says they are focused on playing their style of game, being prepared and staying competitive in order to beat the Huskies.
