OU Holds off New Mexico to Stay Perfect at Home
The Sooners late-game heroics lifted them past the Lobos Sunday.

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- A late-game clutch performances by Morgan Hook helped keep Oklahoma’s home record perfect Sunday, as the Sooners topped the New Mexico Lobos 63-60.
Trailing 60-59 with just five seconds remaining on the clock, OU’s (9-1) Hook scored on a layup to give Oklahoma a 61-60 advantage.
The Lobos (5-4) turned the ball over on their ensuing possession and Hook converted on two free throw attempts to close the game out and secure the win for Oklahoma.
The Sooners’ late-game heroics were in response to a 9-4 run by New Mexico to erase a seven-point deficit and take a 58-56 lead with just two minutes left on the clock.
Oklahoma’s Danielle Robinson led all scorers with 21 points, while racking up five rebounds and four assists. Hook finished the game with 19 points coming off of the bench and Joanna McFarland scored nine and grabbed 13 boards.
Only two New Mexico players scored more than 10 points, Jasmine Patterson led the Lobos with 18 points and Morgan Toben scored 12.
OU will take a week off before taking on the Arkansas Razorbacks at 5 p.m. in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
