Sooner Women Cruise to Win over Stephen F. Austin
Oklahoma fell behind early, but retook the lead in the first hallf and kept rolling to a big win.

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Strong second-half defense propelled the Oklahoma Sooners to a 84-57 win over the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks Wednesday.
Stephen F. Austin took a lead right out of the gate, starting the game with a three pointer by Tammara Marion. Building off of that momentum, the Ladyjacks opened up a 13-5 lead six-and-a-half minutes into the game.
However, the Sooners’ strung together a 14-3 run over the next four minutes to take a 19-16 lead halfway through the first half. The Sooners held a slim lead and went into halftime leading 42-36.
Oklahoma scored the first eight points of the second half to take a 14-point lead less than two minutes into the final 20. The Sooners continued to dominate and strung together a 15-7 run to close the game.
The Sooners’ Morgan Hook led all scorers with 26 points, while Joanna McFarland recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Tammara Marion and Decreasha Goodner both scored 14 points – the only two players for Stephen F. Austin to score in double-digits.
