Johnson also earned second-team honors at the receiver position and as a kickoff return specialist. Junior offensive guard Clint Anderson (Allen, Texas) and senior punter Michael Such (Allen, Texas) were also second-team selections.
The C-USA All-Freshman team recognized receivers Thomas Roberson and offensive guard Stetson Burnett on offense. Linebackers Shawn Jackson and Cody Wilson as well as safety Marco Nelson made the All-Freshman defensive team.
