STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- A late-game push Sunday kept the Oklahoma State Cowgirls’ undefeated this season 50-42 win over the Wisconsin Badgers.
The Cowgirls trailed 40-38 with 8:30 left in the game, but they stepped up in the closing minutes of the game.
For the rest of the half, OSU held the Badgers to just one field goal – a fast break layup by Jade Davis with 19 seconds left in the game – while scoring 12 points to come out with the win. Oklahoma State’s Tiffany Bias played a big part in the run, scoring seven points and coming up with steals on back-to-back possessions.
She finished the game leading all scorers with 14 points – despite only making two shots from the floor. Kendra Suttles chipped in with 10 points, despite only playing 14 minutes after coming off of the bench.
No Wisconsin player notched a double-digit scoring total; the closest was Lin Zastrow who could only manage eight points.
OSU will take a long break and will be back in action at 1 p.m. Dec. 12 in Stillwater against the Duke Blue Devils.
