ORU Women Slide past IUPUI 83-70

Indianapolis, IN—The Oral Roberts women’s basketball team picked up their third straight win Saturday against IUPUI 83-70.
Jordan Pyle scored a game-best 24 points on 11-15 shooting, and pulled down seven rebounds in the Golden Eagle victory.
ORU got out to a quick 9-0 lead, but the Jaguars battled back and tied the game just before halftime.
At the break ORU still managed to lead by five thanks to three pointers by Christian Key and a couple layups by Pyle.
In the second half ORU’s Jaci Bingham lit up with 10 second half points and finished the evening with an impressive 13 assists and seven steals to go with 12 points and three rebounds.
ORU was also helped by guard Kevi Luper who added 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field.
IUPUI was paced in scoring by Kerah Nelson who had 22 points and five rebounds on the game. The Jaguars loss is their first district loss and it drops them to 1-6 overall.
Saturday’s win moves ORU to 5-5 on the season thus far and 2-0 in conference.
The Golden Eagles return to action against the University of Arkansas on December 16 at 7 p.m. in Fayetteville.
