STILLWATER—The Oklahoma State Cowgirls battled back to remain unbeaten on the season with a win over the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Trojans 55-52.
Toni Young and Lindsey Keller led the scoring for the Cowgirls with 14 points. Keller managed a double-double adding 10 rebounds and a steal on the night.
The two teams struggled offensively in the first half with the Cowgirls managing just 19 points, including three over the final seven minutes.
OSU trailed 26-19 at the break, due to a mere 29.2 percent shooting from the field and no made three-point attempts.
Nevertheless, the Cowgirls found a spark in the second half and slowly chipped away at the Trojans lead.
OSUtrailed by double figures three different times in the second half before they went on a 17-4 run to close out the game.
The Cowgirlsimproved slightly ontheir field goal percentage in the second halfto 32.4 percent and added a couple three pointers while shooting 58.8 percent from the charity stripe.
The Oklahoma State outscored the Trojans in the second half by a margin of 36-26 to pull out the three point victory.
Chastity Reed paced the scoring for the Trojans with 19 points, nine rebounds and three assists.
Oklahoma State continues a seven game homestand on Sunday against Wisconsin at 2 p.m. C.T.
