OU’s Quinton Carter Earns All American Honors

The Sooners’ defensive back was named to the 2010 American Football Coaches Association All American Defensive team for his contributions this season.

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Quinton Carter, Oklahoma defensive back, was named All American by the American Football Coaches Association Monday.

The senior was chosen by a panel of coaches and joins two OSU Cowboys on the team, Justin Blackmon and Kendall Hunter. Carter’s having an outstanding season with the Sooners, ranking high in the Big 12 with 85 tackles. He’s recorded 4 interceptions this year, including two critical catches in his team’s Bedlam win.
