NORMAN, Oklahoma – OU guard Danielle Robinson was named the first Big 12 Player of the Week of the 2010-11 season on Monday.
She flirted with a triple-double in the Sooners’ season-opening win against Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Nov. 13 with 20 points, 11 assists and eight steals.
Robinson scored 16 of her 20 points in the second half, helping the Sooners bust open a three-point lead and eventually win by 17.
Her 11 assists helped her set an OU school record for most double-digit assist games with eight.
Robinson shares the Player of the Week honors with Kansas State’s Mariah White, who averaged 10 points and 7.5 rebounds in the first week of the regular season.
