Tulsa Shock Receives Second Pick in 2011 Draft
The Minnesota Lynx came away with the first and fouth selections in the draft due to trades.

NEW YORK -- The Tulsa Shock was awarded the second overall pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft via the draft lottery in New York Tuesday.
“I am excited to bring a top-two caliber player to Tulsa,” General Manager and Head Coach Nolan Richardson said in a press release. “The upcoming women’s college basketball season is sure to be a great one and I look forward to watching film and seeing many college prospects in person.”
Tulsa had the highest probability of winning the top spot, with 44.2 percent odds of the top selection based on their finish in the2010 season. The Minnesota Lynx, who had a 38 percent chance of receiving the top selection, came away with the first and fourth selection via trade.
Connecticut standout Maya Moore is the consensus top selection in the 2011 draft class, while OU’s Danielle Robinson is also widely regarded as one of the top selections in the upcoming class.
