Rumble the Bison took fundraising to new heights Wednesday as he rappelled from the SandRidge Energy Building to kickoff the “Over the Edge” fundraising event for Special Olympics.
Rumble strapped in and made the 30 story descent in downtown Oklahoma City to show the Thunder’s support of “Over the Edge” and Special Olympics Oklahoma.
The actual “Over the Edge” event will kickoff Thursday and participants who raised a minimum of $1,200 will get their own over the edge experience at rappelling.
In the day-long event lasting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., nearly 60 participants will be descending down the 19 story Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa and the SandRidge Building in Oklahoma City that stands 30 stories tall.
Friends and spectators are invited to come support the participants and enjoy the live entertainment and festivities.
Oklahoma Sports will keep you up to date throughout the season on everything Thunder.
