OSU, A&M Coordinators Meet Again

OSU's Holgorsen, A&M's DeRuyter to face off for fourth time in three years on Thursday.

STILLWATER – Thursday’s matchup between the Aggies and the Cowboys will feature a pair of new coordinators in OSU’s Dana Holgorsen and Texas A&M defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter.

But while each is in his first year with his current school, the two coordinators are familiar with each other.

Holgorsen oversaw Houston’s powerful offense for two years, while DeRuyter was the defensive coordinator at Air Force for the past two years.

Houston played Air Force three times in that two year span.

Holgorsen said that while DeRuyter might be at a new school, his prominent defensive schemes are sure to follow him.
