OSU’s Kendall Hunter Earns Big 12 Honors

STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma State running back Kendall Hunter was named Big 12 Co-Offensive Player of the Week after an impressive season-opening game against the Washington State Cougars.

Hunter rushed for 257 yards to help his team earn a 65-17 win over WSU, 208 of those yards coming before halftime.

He averaged 12.2 yards per rush in Saturday’s game, placing him as the nation’s top rusher after just a week of play. The senior running back returned this year after missing much of the 2009 season due to injury.

Hunter and the OSU Cowboys will host Troy Saturday at 6 p.m.
