OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City RedHawks got a quality start from Texas Rangers pitcher Rich Harden in a rehab start Tuesday to top the Reno Aces 3-1.
Harden pitched six complete innings for the RedHawks (66-58), allowing just three hits and one unearned run while striking out 10 Aces (57-67), but came away with a no-decision. Warren Madrigal (4-2) earned the win for his relief appearance by not allowing a hit striking out five in his three innings of service.
Rafael Rodriguez (5-4) received a loss and a blown save for his outing after allowing two hits and two earned runs in a one-inning appearance.
Reno took an early lead in the third inning when Mark Hallberg scored on a Cole Gillespie ground out to second base.
In the bottom of the eighth with two on, Hernan Iribarren singled to left field to score Chris Davis and tie the game 1-1. After a pitching change, the RedHakws took the lead on a wild pitch and a passed ball in the same at-bat.
The four-game series continues at 7:05 p.m. Thursday at Bricktown Ballpark.
