Jeremy Beal Named to Defensive End of the Year Watch List

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- The preseason accolades keep rolling in for the Oklahoma Sooners as linebacker Jeremy Beal was named to the 2010 Ted Hendricks Defensive End of the Year Award preseason watch list Tuesday.

The senior from Carrollton, Texas led the Sooners in tackles for loss with 19 and his 11 sacks ranked fifth in the Big 12. His sack total from 2009 pushed his career total to 20.5, sixth all-time in school history.

Beal is one of five Big 12 players named to the watch list and was named a finalist in 2009.
