TULSA, Oklahoma – A bases loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth was the deciding factor in the Tulsa Drillers 7-6 victory over Northwest Arkansas Tuesday.
Bronson Sardinha came to the plate with the paths packed and two outs. Patrick Keating threw just one strike to Sardinha in the final at bat of the game as Anthony Jackson came home for the winning run. Wilin Rosario hit an RBI single a couple plays earlier to tie the game 6-6.
Eric Hosmer hit a three-run homer in the top of the eighth to give the Naturals a 6-5 lead.
Chris Malone (3-3) was credited with the win after pitching 1.1 scoreless innings.
Henry Barrera (1-1) allowed two runs (one earned) and was tagged with the loss.
The two teams continue their series at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday.
