Tulsa, Oklahoma – The Arena Football League named Tulsa Talons wide receiver Jeff Hughley its JLS Ironman of the week after his nine catch performance against Alabama last weekend.
Hughley scored twice and racked up 111 receiving yards against the Vipers in the 61-48 win. He also converted a 2-point conversion and returned four kicks for 116 total yards.
Hughley has been one of the league’s most versatile players this season. The 5-foot-8 speedster ranks third in the league in kick return yards (1,371) and all-purpose yards (2,484).
Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz receiver Xavier Lee earned honorable mention after scoring passing, rushing and receiving touchdowns against the Cleveland Gladiators.
Hughley and the Talons will face the Arizona Rattlers at home July 24th. It’s a rematch of an exciting 77-76 Rattlers win in Week 3, and the final home game of the regular season for Tulsa.
