NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Sooner head coach Jeff Capel led the United States to a championship in the FIBA America’s U18 Championship Wednesday in San Antonio, Texas.

The Oklahoma head man led the United States to an 81-78 come-from-behind win over Brazil in the final to finish the tournament a perfect 5-0.

Brazil led 35-34 at halftime and 63-58 at the start of the fourth, but the U.S. squad strung together an 18-5 run with just less than four minutes left in the game to take a 76-72 lead. The lead slipped away and Brazil tied the game at 78-78 with less than a minute, but a 3-pointer with 26 seconds left gave the United States the lead.

Capel returns to Norman Thursday for the start of his inaugural OU fantasy camp.
