SPRINGFIELD, Missouri -- Keil Roling’s hot hitting lead the Tulsa Drillers to a 4-1 victory over the Springfield Cardinals Monday.
Roling’s fourth homer of the season helped Tulsa take a 2-1 lead in the top of the second. The 2-run homer to right field was followed up just two innings later when Roling singled to right field to hit home teammate Bronson Sardinha.
The Drillers again extended lead when Matt Repec’s single allowed Wilin Rosaio to score for the 4-1 score.
Tulsa’s Corey Riordan (4-4) earned the win after throwing six innings, allowing six hits and striking out four batters.
Springfield’s Scott McGregor (1-1) ended the day with the loss. He gave up eight hits in the six innings on the mound, while striking out two Drillers at the plate.
