TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa Shock barely put up a fight in its 92-78 loss to New York Friday. Tulsa has lost seven consecutive games.
Former Olympic track star Marion Jones had career highs with eight points and 15 minutes for the Shock. She also tallied the first two blocks of her WNBA career.
The Liberty lead 29-19 after the first quarter and 50-35 at halftime. Tulsa had the lead just twice, 2-0 and 4-3 in the opening period.
Leilani Mitchell set career highs with six 3-pointers and 20 points and Nicole Powell added 16 points for the Liberty.
Mitchell matched a WNBA record with four 3-pointers in the first quarter to help the Liberty open a double-digit lead they wouldn't relinquish. She added back-to-back 3s in the third quarter as New York stretched its lead to 65-40 before holding off a comeback bid by Tulsa.
