SPOKANE, Washington -- The Tulsa Talons fell to 6-5 on the season after a 63-42 beating from the Spokane Shock Friday night.
The Shock (8-2) jumped out to an early lead when the team’s newest addition, Antwan Marsh, scored the game’s first touchdown. The one-yard run was his first career touchdown in the AFL.
The Talon’s quarterback, Justin Allgood struggled against the touch Shock defense. He threw two interceptions and was sacked twice. Tulsa had only recorded two sacks on the season prior to Friday’s loss. Allgood finished with 341 passing yards and five touchdowns. Donovan Morgan was the team’s top receiver, scoring three touchdowns on nine receptions. He ended the game with 129 yards.
The Shock’s Kyle Rowley threw 307 yards, recording his sixth 300-yards passing game of the season. He threw for seven touchdowns, including five to Raul Vijil. Vijil has 11 receptions for the day, racking up 103 receiving yards.
The Tulsa Talons will host the Cleveland Gladiators June 26 at 7 p.m.
