OKLAHOMA CITY -- Sources told Oklahoma Sports's Toby Rowland that OU and OSU are ready to make the jump to the Pac-10, but not quite yet.
The Sooners and Cowboys want to make absolutely sure Texas is headed there as well before they commit.
OU and OSU will likely wait until the Texas regents meet on Tuesday before making any official announcement of their destination. Texas Tech is considering a move to the Pac-10 as well
Meanwhile, Texas A&M is thinking about jumping to another ship.
The Aggies are considering a move to the SEC instead of the Pac-10. A&M is enamored with the SEC, and is dragging its feet in committing to the Pac-16. One report says the Aggies have been given 72 hours to decide if they are in or out. If A&M is out, Kansas may be the next team in line to get an invite to the Pac-16.
Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Baylor and Iowa State would be the remaining Big 12 programs in limbo if the Texas and Oklahoma schools find homes.
Colorado announced it accepted a Pac-10 invitation and Nebraska announced its pursuit of a spot in the Big 10 conference.
