OMAHA, Nebraska -- The RedHawks dropped their first game in a three-game series with Omaha 3-2 in 11 innings Monday.

The Royals (30-26) won the game on an Alex Gordon line drive single to left field to score Irving Falu from second.

That walk-off single earned Elizardo Ramirez (4-2) a loss for the outing after giving up three hits and the one earned run in one-third of an inning. Matt Herses (2-2) received a win for Omaha after not allowing a hit in his one inning of service.

Oklahoma City (31-26) struck first in the top of the first inning. With Brandon Boggs on base, Chris Davis homered to left field to take a 2-0 lead.

Omaha answered in the top of the second, when Marc Maddox singled to third base to bring Jai Miller home from third. The Royals tied the game in the bottom of the third on a Miller sacrifice fly to right field to score Alex Gordon to make it 2-2.

The game remained scoreless for the next seven innings until Gordon’s walk-off single.

The RedHawks and the Royals will close out their four-game series at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday.
