STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- A court hearing for former Oklahoma State basketball coach Sean Sutton has been delayed by two months.
Sutton had been due to appear Monday in Payne County District Court for a preliminary hearing on four felony charges alleging that he illegally obtained a series of prescription drugs but that hearing was postponed until Aug. 13.
District Attorney Rob Hudson says the hearing was pushed back because Sutton remains in a rehab program he entered after his arrest in February.
Sutton went 39-29 in two seasons as Oklahoma State's coach before resigning under pressure in April 2008. He had inherited the program after his father, Eddie Sutton, stepped down following a drunk driving crash.
His preliminary hearing was initially scheduled for April.
