Oklahoma State Loses in Extras
The Cowboys dropped the second game of the series to Texas A&M in Stillwater.

STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma State dropped the second game of its three-game series with Texas A&M 5-3 in the tenth inning Saturday.
The game remained scoreless until the top of the sixth. The Aggies’ (32-18-1, 11-11-1) Adam Smith tripled to right field to bring Matt Juengel and Joe Patterson home and gave Texas A&M a 2-0 lead. In the next at-bat, Kevin Gonzalez hit a sacrifice fly to center field to bring Smith home and push the lead to three runs.
The Cowboys (28-21, 8-15) answered in the bottom of the sixth with a Luis Uribe single to bring Nico Rosthenhausler home. In the next at-bat Dane Phillips homered to right to tie the game 3-3.
The teams remained tied until the top of the tenth when with two outs, Kenny Jackson doubled to right center to bring Smith and Brandon Wood home for a 5-3 lead.
Jon Stilson (6-1) went 2.2 innings for Texas A&M, giving up just two hits and no earned runs while striking out three to earn the win. Tyler Lyons (3-5) received a loss for his outing after going four full innings, giving up two earned runs on four hits.
Oklahoma State will try to avoid the sweep at 1 p.m. Sunday in Stillwater.
