NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas -- The Drillers won their second-consecutive game against the Arkansas Travelers 2-1 Friday.
Tulsa (14-19) got on the board early when Anthony Jackson scored on a Ryan Harvey groundball single to left field, after singling to left field in the first at-bat of the game.
The Travelers (13-19) answered in the bottom of the fourth. Efren Navarro grounded out to short stop and allowed Abel Nieves to score, tying the game 1-1.
Stuart Pomeranz (2-2) earned the win for Tulsa after pitching 1.2 innings for the Drillers, giving up two hits and not allowing an earned run. Arkansas got 2.1 innings from Taylor Wilding (1-1), who gave up two hits and one earned run in his outing, but still received a loss.
The game remained tied until the top of the eighth when with one out, Daniel Mayora scored on an RBI-single to right field by Scott Beerer to take a 2-1 lead.
The weekend series will continue at 7:10 p.m. Saturday and will conclude at 7:10 p.m. Sunday.
