TULSA, Oklahoma – Tulsa shortstop Samantha Cobb was named Conference USA Hitter of the Week on Monday after her performance against Marshall.
Cobb hit .600 with three home runs and 11 RBI in three games against the Thundering Herd. The Garland, Texas native also walked twice, and had a 1.500 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage.
Cobb's performance against Marshall also put her into the TU record books. The freshman set a single game record by driving in six RBI in the first contest on Saturday and with her 11 RBI in the series, she now holds the school record for RBI in a season.
Cobb and the Golden Hurricane open the 2010 C-USA Softball Championship Thursday against No. 7-seed Memphis at 11 a.m.
