NASHVILLE, Tennessee -- Oklahoma City committed three errors in its 3-0 loss to Nashville Friday.
The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the eighth when the Sounds capitalized on two RedHawks errors. Joe Koshansky scored on John Raburn’s sacrifice fly for the first run of the game. Luis Cruz drove-in Norris Hopper with a single to left to put Nashville on top 2-0. On the next play, Oklahoma City third baseman Matthew Brown could not corral the ball properly which allowed another Nashville run to score.
The RedHawks went down in order in the top of the ninth and did not advance a runner past second base the entire game. Both teams managed six hits but no player had more than one.
Derek Holland (2-1) was tagged with his first loss of the season for Oklahoma City after giving up three runs (one earned) in 7.1 innings. Kameron Loe (2-1) earned the win for Nashville after throwing eight scoreless innings.
The RedHawks are back at Bricktown Ballpark when they host Memphis in a four-game series starting at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.
