NORMAN, Oklahoma -- The Horned Frogs (27-8) fell Tuesday as the Sooners (27-10) bounced back from a rough patch to beat TCU 8-3.
Danny Black finished with four RBI, tying a season high. He hit a homer in the sixth inning, his first of the season, to put the Sooners ahead 8-0.
The Horned Frogs posted the game’s first run at the top of the first inning, followed with another run in the top of the third.
The Sooners answered back though, posting one run in the third followed by a strong fourth inning.
Cameron Seitzer hit a three-run homerun, followed by a double hit by Black, sending home Caleb Bushyhead and Bryan Groth.
The Horned Frogs put up their third and last run of the night in the top of the fifth, but the Sooners posted two more runs in the sixth to seal TCU’s loss.
The Sooners and Horned Frogs face each other Wednesday at 2:05 p.m.
