PLAYA VISTA, California -- The Oklahoma City Thunder used the L.A. Clippers training facility Monday to talk with the media about its Sunday loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Kevin Durant was stifled by the Lakers, only scoring 24 points for the night. Head coach Scott Brooks said the young star has to find a different approach to adjust to the much larger and more experienced Lakers.
“I think he needs to figure out other ways to help us win,” Brooks said. “Offensively, he needs to come off the screens harder.”
Teammate Russell Westbrook told the media that the team plans on supporting Durant as he finds a new strategy against L.A.
“He’s going to find his way and we’re going to be here to help him,” Westbrook said.
Durant and his team will face the Lakers Tuesday in the Staple Center at 9:30 p.m.
