NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma split a doubleheader with Texas Tech Thursday. The No. 12 Sooners won the first game 9-7 but lost the second 7-6 in nine innings.

Oklahoma trailed 7-5 in the bottom of the seventh in game one. Wendy Trott’s first and only hit of the game could not have come at a better time as she blasted a walk-off grand slam over the right field wall to give the Sooners the victory in the first game.
Kirsten Allen got the win for the Sooners after pitching one scoreless relief inning. Ashley Brokeshoulder took the loss in game one for Texas Tech.

The Sooners would get a taste of their own medicine as Tech came storming back late in the second game.
Emily Bledsoe hit a grand slam with the Red Raiders down 5-2 in the top of the seventh to give Tech a 6-5 lead. Lindsey Vandever would score the tying run in the bottom half of the seventh to force extra innings.
The game remained knotted at six until the top of the ninth when the Red Raiders scored on a wild pitch. OU could not answer the run in the bottom half of the inning
Kirsten Allen (6-1) was tagged with the loss after giving up one run. Karli Merlich (9-1) earned the win for the Red Raiders after allowing six runs (five earned) in 8.2 innings.
The Sooners will host Texas at 2 p.m. Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader.
