Maddox scored on a wild pitch to tie the game 1-1 in the fifth inning. The next batter, Tyler Paxson, drove in Beau Stoker to put Missouri State on top 2-1. Courtwright scored on the next play on Travis McComack’s sacrifice bunt. Paxson crossed the plate on Voit’s sacrifice fly to cap a four run inning give the Bears a 4-1 advantage.
