TULSA, Oklahoma -- Oral Roberts fell 13-3 to Missouri State Friday. The loss snapped the Golden Eagles six-game winning streak.

The Bears jumped on ORU early and did not let up. Aaron Conway’s two-run home run in the first inning gave MSU a quick lead. The Bears would score two more runs in the inning to take a 4-0 advantage.

Christian Overstreet’s three-run homer in the second capped a five-run inning for the Bears, who took a 9-0 lead.

Luke Volt added a solo shot in the fourth to put Missouri State on top 10-0. The Bears would add two more insurance runs in the sixth and another in the ninth.

ORU’s first run came when Tyler Saladino scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the sixth. The Golden Eagles would get two more in the bottom of the ninth, but it was not nearly enough to complete a comeback.

Seth Furmanek was tagged with the loss after giving up eight earned runs in one inning.

The Golden Eagles and Bears are back in action with a 2 p.m. start time Saturday.
