STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma State is in its sixth day of spring practices with a new quarterback, offensive coordinator and offensive system, but is already seeing cohesion.
“We’re a little further along on offense than I thought we would have been,” head coach Mike Gundy said. “I was concerned about how long it would take for us to get in a rhythm.”
The new high-octane offense of offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen presents challenges for OSU, but the change is welcome.
“We’re going to be throwing more passes,” Gundy said. “I’m still learning and excited about learning and watching it.”
Brandon Weeden, the Cowboys new signal caller, is having fun in the new system.
“Overall, I think all the guys enjoy the new offense,” said Weeden. “The better we get with everything, the more fun it’s going to be.”
