TEMPE, Arizona -- Just one day after his team rebounded from a 19-point deficit to beat Chattanooga, OSU head coach Kurt Budke spoke about the second round of NCAA tournament play.
“We had some great comebacks this year?but that was with Andrea Riley on the floor,” Budke said. “With her sitting up in the stands, I think that’s the greatest one I’ve been a part of.”
Riley was forced to sit out in Saturday’s game to serve a one-game suspension after striking an LSU player two seasons ago.
“It’s been hanging over our heads for a couple years now,” Bukde said. “They just willed their way to win last night to give Andrea one more chance.”
In the second round of NCAA play, the fourth-seeded Cowgirls will face fifth-seeded Georgia on Monday.
“Georgia obviously is very athletic,” Budke said. “The Big 12 prepared us for this.”
Oklahoma State head coach Kurt Budke said his team is prepared for Monday's tip off against Georgia, as the Cowgirls play in the second round of NCAA tournament play.
