LOS ANGELES -- Oral Roberts mustered very little offense once again against UCLA as the Golden Eagles fell 12-2 Saturday to the No. 12 Bruins.
The Bruins broke open the game in the bottom of the sixth by scoring nine runs. That inning featured five singles, one double, three walks, one hit batter, one balk and one passed ball. UCLA sent 14 batters to the plate before grounding into an inning-ending double play.
Each of the Bruins' nine starters in the lineup recorded at least one hit.
Oral Roberts right-hander Jeff Burleson (1-2) allowed five runs and four hits and was tagged with the loss. Designated hitter Seth Furmanek went 3-for-4 with one solo homer in the ninth inning.
Oral Roberts (5-9) tied the game at one in the top of the third on a run-scoring groundout by center fielder Joey Winiecki.
UCLA and Oral Roberts conclude their three-game series 1 p.m., Sunday at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
