STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma State went 2-0 for the second straight day as the No. 20 Cowgirls defeated Rutgers 8-3 and Prairie View A&M 12-1 Saturday. The Cowgirls improved to 19-6 on the season.
Alysia Hamilton had three RBIs in OSU’s first game. The Cowgirls scored four runs on two illegal pitches and two Scarlet Knight errors.
Anna Whiddon threw 2.2 innings and picked up her 12th win of the season in relief. She struck out four while allowing two runs.
Oklahoma State mercy-ruled PVAMU for the second time in as many days, this time by a count of 12-1 in five innings. Sarah Odom went the distance in a complete game shutout and earned her first win of the season. Odom struck out seven, gave up three hits, and one unearned run.
Every Cowgirl in the lineup got a hit in the game. Sammy Jo Diffendaffer went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, two doubles and two runs scored.
The Cowgirls will face Rutgers at 11 a.m. Sunday.
