NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Forty-three scouts from 31 different NFL teams converged on the University of Oklahoma’s Everest Indoor Training Facility Tuesday to give Sooners not named Bradford one final audition at OU’s Pro Day.

The 2010 NFL Draft is expected to have an obvious crimson and cream feel to it.

A pair of Sooners are projected to go in the top three, and four players are expected to be selected in the first round.

St. Louis Rams Head Coach Steve Spagnuolo was in attendance to get a first hand look at defensive tackle Gerald McCoy. The Rams hold the No. 1 overall pick and have expressed interest in McCoy.

The former Southeast High School star was put through an array of position drills on Tuesday, but did not attempt to improve on his disappointing 23 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press at the NFL Combine. McCoy said he will try again during Sam Bradford’s personal pro day on March 25.

Spagnuolo did not tip his hand as to which player they will take on draft day, but he did offer glowing praise for McCoy.

“He makes plays. He forces double teams,” Spagnuolo said. “People have to worry about him because he’s a talented guy. He can rush the passer.”

The always-smiling McCoy said he was pleased with what he showed the scouts on Tuesday.

“I just wanted to come out here and move around a little bit. There’s not really pressure,” McCoy said. “We’ve been doing this our whole lives. We just go out there and have fun.”

Defensive back Dominique Franks may have helped his draft stock. Franks improved his 40-yard dash time from 4.52 to 4.47. Linebacker Keenan Clayton showed a drastic improvement in his 40 time. Clayton recorded at 4.57 on Tuesday after running a 4.66 in Indianapolis.

Tight end Jermaine Gresham and offensive lineman Trent Williams are expected to join Bradford and McCoy as first-round selections from OU. Gresham and Williams both participated in position drills on Tuesday.
