STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma State guard James Anderson has been named a first-team All-American by Sporting News two days after being named the Big 12 Player of the Year.
He is the first Cowboy to receive the honor since Gale McArthur was placed on the list in 1951.
The OSU junior leads the Big 12 in scoring and ranks third in the NCAA in scoring with 22.9 points per game, while grabbing six rebounds per game in 34.1 minutes.
He is one of two Big 12 players mentioned on the Sporting News All-American list, joined by Sherron Collins of Kansas, who was named second-team.
