STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma State softball team grabbed its second win against Nevada in The Preview Featuring Bedlam 7-1.
It was scoreless through two innings, but the Cowgirls struck first in the third inning. Alysia Hamilton walked, and on the next at bat Julie Ward hit a home run to put two on the scoreboard.
Nevada responded on the first at bat on the next inning with a Sam Bias home run to close the gap to 2-1.
OSU’s Chelsea Garcia opened up the top of the fourth with a single. Kelsey Anchors brought her home on the next at bat with a single to center field. Two batters later, Katelyn Bright hit another single to center to allow anchors to cross the plate and give the Cowgirls the 4-1 lead.
Tamara Brown started the next inning with a one-run home run, Bright took a walk three batters later to bring another run home and Haminton reached on a fielder’s choice to bring Anchors home.
Oklahoma State has one more game in The Preview Featuring Bedlam against Tulsa, scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m.
