SIOUX FALLS, South Dakota -- Jordan Pyle’s career-high 26 points powered Oral Roberts past Southern Utah 97-81 Saturday in the opening round of the Summit League Tournament. ORU's 97 points is the second-highest total in a Summit League Tournament contest.
Four other Golden Eagles scored in double figures. Kevi Luper had 18 points, Jaci Bigham added 11, while Janae Voelker and Savanna Buck each had 10.
The Golden Eagles used a 16-3 run in the first half to push their lead to nine points. ORU led 48-33 at halftime.
After the break, ORU went on a 21-6 run to bump its lead to 30 points and never looked back.
The Golden Eagles will play the winner of UMKC vs. North Dakota State at noon on Monday.
