Tulsa Wins in Extra Innings

The Golden Hurricane were able to score four runs in the last two innings to pull out a victory.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Vanessa Vice scored the game-winning run as Tulsa earned a 5-4 extra-inning victory over Texas State Saturday. The Golden Hurricane scored three runs in the seventh inning and one in the eighth.

Kalynn Schrock earned her fourth win to improve to 4-2 on the year. Schrock did not allow a run in 2.1 innings and gave up just one hit.

Vice crossed the plate on Skylar Swanson’s single to left in the bottom of the eighth.

Mickey LaValley scored on Caitlin Everett’s double in the bottom of the seventh. Then Samantha Cobb drove in Kelly Chapman and Everett to tie the game at 4 and force extra innings.
