GREENVILLE, North Carolina -- The Golden Hurricane women’s basketball team held off a late push by East Carolina to capture its fourth-straight win 61-57.
It was a close game throughout, neither team leading by more than eight points. A late three by the Pirates would close the gap to three in the closing seconds, but Chanice Scott hit a free throw to put the game out of reach.
Larissa Williams carried Tulsa once again, playing all 40 minutes on her way to scoring 26 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. She was the only Golden Hurricane player to score in double-figures.
East Carolina didn’t have a player score in double figures, but Ashley Clarke did her work on the boards grabbing 13 rebounds.
Tulsa is back in action Thursday at the Reynolds Center against Southern Mississippi.
