Two from TU Earn Conference Honors

The Golden Hurricane’s Larrissa Williams and Taleya Mayberry earned Player and Freshman of the Week, respectively, by the Conference USA.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- TU’s Larrissa Williams and Taleya Mayberry were named Conference USA Player and Freshman of the Week.

Tulsa is coming off a 34-point victory over Rice in which Williams earned a double-double with 29 points and 11 rebounds. She finished with 22 points and 18 rebounds in the Golden Hurricane’s win over Houston just two days before.

The forward averages 25.5 points, 14.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game.

Mayberry posted 20 points against Houston and averages 18.5 points per game.

It is the second time for both players to be named CUSA Player and Freshman of the Week.

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane will host SMU February 18 at 7 p.m.
