STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Two games ago, Oklahoma State’s 11-game win streak was snapped by Texas. Tuesday it started a new win streak with a 75-60 win over Missouri.
It was a great first half for the Cowgirls, closing the first 20 minutes on an 8-0 run to go into the locker room with a 36-20 lead.
Senior forward Tegan Cunningham outshined everyone in the first half, putting up 13 points and grabbing seven boards. Not to be outdone, Andrea Riley dropped 13 of her own, while dishing out four assists and grabbing three rebounds.
Cunningham finished the game with a double-double, 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Riley scored 29 and dished out eight assists.
It was first half defense that set the tone for the Cowgirls, holding Mizzou to 8-of-28 shooting in the first half and 28.1 percent for the game. Amanda Hanneman dropped eight of her 19 points in the first half, the same point total as the rest of the Tigers’ starters.
Next for the Cowgirls is a trip to College Station, to take on Texas A&M Jan. 31.
