Oral Roberts Rolls Past Western Illinois

MACOMB, Illinois -- Oral Roberts trailed only one once in the Golden Eagles 82-57 rout of Western Illinois. Jaci Bigham had a game-high 24 points while Kevi Luper finished with 16 points.

Western Illinois (5-12, 1-5) took a 3-0 lead to open the game, then ORU (11-7, 5-2) went on a 10-0 run. The Golden Eagles closed out the first half on a 16-4 run to take a 41-24 lead into halftime.

The Leathernecks got as close as 12 points in the second half but could not cut the Golden Eagles lead to single digits.

Michele Salvatori had 11 points for Western Illinois and Jackie Rieger added 10.

Janae Voelker finished with 15 points and eight rebounds while Alex Adekunle chipped-in 14. Oral Roberts will take some time off before hitting the road to face Centenary Saturday Jan. 23.
