OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Thunder helped raise approximately $14,300 by auctioning off autographed KD2 “Creamsicle” sneakers.

The shoes were worn by players when the Thunder hosted the Dallas Mavericks on Dec. 16. Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Jeff Green each signed a pair of sneakers and fans jumped on the opportunity to own a piece of Thunder history.

“This is a tremendous donation from our players to assist the Thunder Foundation with its mission to make a positive, significant impact on the community,” said Christine Berney, director of community relations.

Proceeds from the auction will go directly to the Oklahoma City Thunder Community Foundation, which will work to refurbish a neighborhood basketball court at the Police Athletic League Center.
