OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City Thunder will host its second-annual Military Appreciation Night Jan. 11, when they host the New York Knicks.
The Thunder is asking all season ticket-holders to donate their seats to service members by contacting their Thunder account manager or e-mailing tixfortroops@thunder-nba.com. Fans wishing to donate tickets or purchase tickets can call (405) 208-HOOP.
More than 650 seats were offered to military members and their families last season. Discounted tickets are also available to military personnel, beginning at $5.
A halftime presentation will include the swearing-in for the newest members of the United State Army, along with a Military Covenant presentation. Mayor Mick Cornett will be in attendance and fans will be given the opportunity to show their appreciation for service members by signing a document on the concourse of the Ford Center.
The public will also be given a chance to see several military vehicles up close, including a rocket launcher, canon and Stryker tank.
