Adrian Taylor Carted Off Field

The talented defensive tackle suffered a leg injury in the first quarter of the Sun Bowl.

EL PASO, Texas -- Defensive tackle Adrian Taylor underwent successful surgery on his broken ankle and will continue through the rehabilitation process, according to OU officials.

Taylor was carted off the field in the first quarter of Oklahoma matchup against Stanford in the Sun Bowl after contributing on a defensive play. Taylor did not return to the game.

In 12 games this season, Taylor made 35 tackles and 17 sacks. Taylor is expected to return to Oklahoma next year for his senior season.
