OKLAHOMA CITY -- Kevin Durant scored 30 points for the third straight night to power the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 98-91 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats. Russell Westbrook added 22 points. Oklahoma City improved to 15-14, the team did not get its 15th win until March last season.
The Thunder opened the third quarter on a 7-0 after a back and forth first half. Oklahoma City went up by as much as 11 points in the third. But the lead slowly trickled away.
Charlotte got as close as 95-91 with 1:38 to play. However, Durant’s dunk with less than a minute put the dagger in the Bobcats. Durant scored just three points I the fourth quarter.
Nenad Krstic finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Stephen Jackson led the way for the Bobcats with 24 points; however, Jackson made just 9-of-24 from the floor. Nazr Mohammed had 16 points to go along with eight rebounds.
Before Saturday night's game, the Thunder assigned guard D.J. White to the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA Developmental League.
